Government positions in India come with many benefits and enjoy a high level of respect and reputation. It is not surprising that many young people want to work for the government. Here are some job-oriented courses and specialized courses in higher education that will help a student achieve their goals.
Courses that can get you a government job:
A bachelor’s degree in animal husbandry, agriculture, forestry statistics, public administration or economics can lead to positions at government universities. Project assistant, technician, consultant, researcher, statistical officer and data manager are some of the other interesting jobs available.
Agricultural Studies (B.Tech, B.Sc, BBA) can help students get jobs with or like Food Corporation of India (FCI), National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), IFFCO and the State Farms Company of India. A postgraduate degree may be helpful in obtaining employment with the Department of Agriculture.
Due to India’s high ranking in livestock and commodities, veterinary medicine and its branches have great potential. However, passing the NEET is required for admission to a bachelor’s degree program in veterinary science. A veterinary doctor, veterinary surgeon, veterinary neurologist or epidemiologist are all possible professions. Veterinary assistant, dermatologist, pharmacologist, food inspection specialist, technician, pharmacologist, and associate veterinarian are all possible careers with a master’s degree in the discipline.
A graduate with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) can apply for government employment at Central Schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas, Sarvodaya Vidyalayas, and reputable government organizations like NCERT and NUEPA by completing a Bachelor of Education (B .Ed) and take the nationwide Teacher Eligibility Test (TE).
Not only in district and high courts, but also in organizations such as the Metro Rail Corporation, SEBI, IOCL and public sector banks, a law graduate has various options. From paralegal to counsellor, there are a variety of positions available. Individual bodies conduct direct recruitment tests, the best known of which is the Supreme Court of India Judicial Assistant Examination.
Opportunities with institutes such as the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and the National Institute of Agri-Food Biotechnology can be achieved with a B.Tech/BE in Biotechnology or an ME/M.Tech in Bioprocess Engineering, Biotechnologyor food biotechnology (NABI).
Roles in government agencies for people studying public administration range from social worker to administrative officer or public relations officer. A master’s degree in this area allows you to advance through the system.
While these options expand the range of opportunities for obtaining government employment, students must first pass the required entrance tests and other recruitment processes.
