Hurd joined Kretek in November 2000 when it launched its Canadian subsidiary, Kretek Canada. Under his leadership as Managing Director, Kretek Canada experienced tremendous growth for 11 years before moving to the United States in June 2011 to launch Ventura Cigar Co. of Kretek International as Managing Director.

He was promoted to Vice President of Sales in 2013 and Director of Sales in 2017.

Kretek also made a series of promotions to senior management. Jason Carignan, Marketing Director of Kretek, becomes President of Phillips & King International and TMG International. His new role will involve the strategic expansion and digital transformation of the Phillips & King and TMG businesses to meet the changing needs of independent retailers across the country.

Jonathan Louie joined Loop Neighborhood Markets as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
