New UG courses for teaching aspirants


Hyderabad: Students wishing to be admitted to undergraduate programs this academic year have a choice of two new courses.

The four-year integrated courses BSc BEd and BA BEd are offered for which the admission notification has been issued by the State Council of Higher Education of Telangana (TSCHE).

There are a total of 100 places available in each of these courses, which are offered by one college – Sree Dattha Brindavan Institute of Teacher Education, Narayanpet.

The college recently obtained the necessary approvals from the National Council for Teacher Education and the government to offer the integrated four-year BEd programs starting in the 2021-22 academic year.

Admissions to both courses will be based on merit obtained in the intermediate or equivalent exams, said Prof. P Ramesh Babu, Admissions Officer at the Telangana State Joint Education Entrance Test.

Applicants wishing to pursue a BSc BEd must have obtained an intermediate or equivalent degree in the MPC or BiPC stream, while for the BA BEd course applicants must have obtained an intermediate or equivalent degree in MPC, BiPC, CEC or HEC or any other qualifying group 10 2.

In addition, candidates belonging to categories SC / ST / BC and other reserved categories must have obtained a minimum of 40 percent of the marks (50 percent for others) in the intermediate examinations or equivalent.

Students who meet the eligibility criteria can register online and upload their certificates for online verification until December 29. All applicants must pay a non-refundable registration and verification fee of Rs 500 for SC / ST and Rs 800 for others.

After verifying the certificates online, a list of eligible applicants will be posted on the website on December 31. If there is any discrepancy in the verified data, applicants can report it to the help desk or by email available on the website.

Places will be allocated on January 2, 2022, and students who receive orders for the allocation of places must report to the college for verification of original certificates as well as tuition fees between January 3 and 8.
